Our available dogs have been professionally trained, evaluated, and prepared for success in their future homes. Each dog listed here has a solid foundation, real‑world skills, and the temperament needed to thrive with the right match.
Trout
Trout is a male Belgian Malinois currently in training as a psychiatric service dog. He comes from exceptional working lines, parents are OFA certified, Embark tested, and actively working as detection dogs. Trout shows the intelligence, stability, and drive expected from his pedigree, making him an outstanding candidate for advanced service work.
Background & Training Provider
Trout is being fully raised, developed, and trained by Farrah Nickerson in Deerfield Beach, Florida, through her program at Farrah Canine College. All foundational work, task training, public‑access preparation, and service‑dog development are completed under her direct care and instruction.

What Trout Will Go home with
Trout will graduate with a full foundation of psychiatric service dog skills, real‑world reliability, and advanced obedience.
• Interrupting anxiety behaviors (leg bouncing, pacing, nail picking, etc.)
• Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT) for grounding during panic or dissociation
• Alerting to rising anxiety or stress cues
• Guiding the handler out of overwhelming environments
• Creating space in crowded areas when needed
• Waking the handler from nightmares or night terrors (if applicable to the handler’s needs)
• Navigating tight spaces, doorways, elevators, and checkout lines
• Ignoring strangers, pets, noises, and food on the ground
• Maintaining focus in high‑distraction environments
• Loading and unloading from vehicles with control
• Remaining composed during unexpected sounds or movement
In addition to his task training and public‑access work, Trout will complete a full suite of certifications and health evaluations to ensure he meets the highest standards for a working psychiatric service dog.

Trout will undergo preliminary orthopedic and ophthalmic evaluations through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), including:

• Eyes (CAER exam)
These screenings ensure he meets structural and genetic standards appropriate for long‑term service work.
